An art education degree prepares students for a rewarding career teaching art from pre-k through twelfth grade. The program combines the creative expertise of bet36365体育's 艺术部门 with the instructional excellence of bet36365体育's 教育学院.
Program requirements include a wide range of studio courses to develop creative ability, methodology courses for academic competence, courses for understanding the philosophy and psychology of art education, methods for teaching students with diverse needs, and developing integrated curriculums.
Art 教育 students have many opportunities to experience the practical application of what they learn in class by working with PK–12 students through more than 100 hours of direct art-classroom observations and field experiences. 学生 also spend a full semester student teaching in a PK–12 program.
